The 'MUST" Report - Nutritional Screening of Adults, a multidisciplinary responsibility. May 2010

The 'Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool' (MUST) was developed to provide a simple, effective and scientifically based screening tool to identify those individuals suffering from, or at risk of malnutrition.

The 'MUST' tool was developed to identify the risk of poor protein-energy status rather than the status of individual nutrients.   It is linked to a care plan, which can vary according to healthcare setting, local poilicies and resources.  Guidance on undertaking measurements using 'MUST' is also provided.
